Technical visit to the Portuguese Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC)
ICCL’16 participants will have an opportunity to perceive how search and rescue (SAR) missions are coordinated and executed and become acquainted with the latest SAR technologies (information systems, communications and advanced equipment) available to monitor large maritime areas and track large numbers of vessels. Additionally, there will be the possibility to visit a ship of the Navy.
The MRCC is located in Alfeite, on the South bank of the Tagus River. Transport to and from the MRCC is included in the conference fee and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the view while crossing the bridge.
